Tanzanite Launch at CEJ

We had the Tanzanite Collection Launch on Wednesday evening after work. Was quite a good turnout with the Tanzanian Consulate (Perth) and his wife coming for the event; as well as the Head of Tanzanite One, the company behind the precious blue stones which have a 3 dimensional shade to it - royal blue, indigo and periwinkle, quite gorgeous I must say.

Just some background information for you if you're interested...hee! :P It is a tradition for the Masaai tribe to give the women who have just given birth vibrant blue beads and adornments to wear, so as to bestow upon the child a healthy and positive life. This custom has been preseved and in modern tradition, Tanzanite is given as a celebration of life, on the birth of a baby. It uniquely symbolizes new beginnings and pays tribute to those who have show the greatest of loves by becoming a parent. More pictures will follow this entry... :)
