Dear all,
Angie is still the same old angie. For one, her old ailment of bodyaches is back to haunt her. Yup, didn't go to work today coz was very lethargic coupled with whole body of aches, think the recent changes in the temperatures here really not helping. Aiyo, I'm really an old lady trapped in a young girl's body ah... :P
Just a quick update on the routine of our days here in Perth. In the mornings, I'll wake at 7am, get ready for breakfast, while ivan helps to prep brekkie since he always gets ready way before me. In the midst of prep breakfast, I'll also be making my homemade lunch, most of the time is either sandwich or wraps. Have a few usuals - chicken sandwich with lettuce, crabmeat n tuno mayo sandwich (like Delifrance one), ham and cheese wrap/ sandwich... those are my few combinations for now. Anyone has any interesting sandwich combinations, will probably experiment others soon...have yet to do my egg mayo sandwich. :)
We will then leave the house by 815am and Ivan will give me a lift to the station in "Bluey". Then he will go for morning mass at St Luke's while I will take the 8:31 Whitfords train to the city. I usually like to wait for that train coz it starts off from Whitfords, the stop where I take the train from and there will be plenty of seats. Then the ride will take about 15-20min to Perth city. There I will walk abt 5min to the shop and then my day would start with helping put the jewellery on the window displays.
It's usually quite quiet in the early morning but as lunchtime beckons, many office workers would come in and browse and make purchases. There are times when I only get to eat my lunch at 2plus or even 3pm coz the shop was crazily busy. When I come back from my half an hour break, things are usually slowing down, with probably a handful of customers coming in to browse or just make enquiries. By 4 plus, I'll be ready for home coz the shop will close at 5pm on the dot, unless we are serving a customer and then it's time to repeat the morning's work. But this time, it's to pack up all the jewellery and to keep in the safe.
I will rush to catch the 5:30 plus train that will bring me back to Whitfords before 6pm and Ivan & Bluey will be waiting to pick me up. We will have a simple dinner at home and I usually retire to bed about 9plus 10 unless I am skyping with my family or chatting with friends.
That's how a day in the life of Angie these days will be like. Although there are a few things that I look forward to in the week! Late nite shopping in the suburbs till 9pm on Thursdays and groceries shopping on Saturday. Sundays are usually spent lazing around or doing the chores like washing of clothes and getting ready for the following week of work. We will try to meet Mich, Toni and Josh in the weekends too. Other than that, we are quite sad..have to widen our social circle...hee, well Ivan n I wanna help out in church where we can, will be getting into that soon...
