God sent Angels to us today! :)

The heading caught your attention I hope, hee!:) Yup,God really has His Ways. You see, after attending mass at St Luke's this morning, we were making our way to the bus stop at the main road which was abt 5min walk...but trust me, under the scorching heat of the 41 degrees, a few metres seemed to take eternity... plus our lips were perpetually dried and we felt real dehydrated. Ok well, pple in the deserts probably have it worse but we found it unbearable... oh, hope I have not lost you in the midst of my elaborate explanation and descriptions.

The main part of the story is this. A kind soul actually wound down his window to ask if he could give us a ride somewhere when we were walking to the bus stop. Usually in normal circumstances, I would just freak out and run away... (ok, I am exaggerating!;P ) but I was overjoyed that God sent him to us. We told him we were going to take a bus to the train station and he added that it was too hot to walk in the weather and offered to give us a ride. Thanks be to God! :)

We spoke with him in the car and found he was also a migrant from Zimbawe and that he had only stayed in Perth for 2 1/2 years. It was a unique encounter, actually our second, coz we also had an elderly couple offer us a ride to King's Park, some 3 years back...in Perth too. :)

Our second nice encounter was at Whitford's train station where we enquired about purchasing of the Smart Rider (equivalent of our Ez-link). Not only did the lady tell us that we could get it from the Info kiosk in the city but she also recommended us to get the Family Rider tix for this ride as it was valid for up to 7 pple and only cost $8.80 for unlimited travel the whole day. M sure some of you must have your jaws dropping, yup public transport reali is expensive here so that is why we are gonna get a car! Will prob go car hunting this week and the first pic which we will upload for the month would be of our new car yah? (Although it will be a second-hand, but hey, new to us and you all too... :) )

In the afternoon we had yummy Asian lunch at Mich's and Toni's place. So nostalgic...reminded me of home. Oh, if you are reading this Toni, your chic stew dish was superb! Must share with us your recipe yah? ;) Oh which reminds me, thanks Eunice for the recipe book, m sure it will come in handy! Corrine, your gift came in handy in purchase of our smart rider tixs! ;)

Oh, our frens have a lil boy, josh, he's so adorable, never fails to brighten up your day, I shall post a pic of him up here soon, must get mummy's permission first, hee! ;) After lunch, we went display home browsing...made me so wanna get my own place soon so that I can make it my own...in the meantime, shall prepare myself mentally to start work on 1st Feb and settle down and get all the stuff we need... :)

Alritey, that's all the time we have for today... thank you class, hee! kidding! :) Back to looking for cars online and potential houses too... ;) Thanks again for all your love! xoxo

  1. Hello!

What a coincidence! that was exactly my experience in canada too! :)

I got lost around my friend's house in halifax cos it was one of my first few days there.. n was walking to the bus stop when someone wound his window down n offered me a ride.. i hesitated a bit but took it n he sent me right to my door step!
of cos, i got roundly scolded by peter at that time..he thought it was dangerous n i shdnt hv taken a ride by myself yadda yadda.. but it really made me feel so loved by God, like He was looking out for me every step of the way. And that's what i was thinking of when i wrote that i'm sure you'll experience God in your new adventure..

i'm glad He sent you angels to brighten your day!
