I finally went ahead with what I set out to do; to continue with my teaching career here in Perth. But first, I had to have the TESOL qualification in order to teach English here in Perth. Before I even embarked on this studying journey, it seemed quite daunting but in early November, after I attended the extensive lessons from Wed - Friday (6 - 10pm) and then 9am - 5pm on the weekend that followed. On retrospect, I seriously dunno how I survived, seriously no joke to be studying and working at the same time; kudos to all those who are doing that simultaneously for a period of time... I'm glad I survived! ;)
I was actually having second thoughts halfway coz I felt I din fit in with all the other ang mohs, felt a little uncomfortable, truth be told; however, by the weekend, I was all good. There was this cute guy too... hee, no worries, Ivan knows about this...hee! He's a lawyer by profession and blushes very easily... just very boy boy cute and super easy to talk to... was fun hanging out with him. Oh, back to the main topic, we had to present a lesson to our fellow peers on Sunday morning; afterwhich we would get feedback from the class and the teacher and only then can we graduate from the in-class course.
And guess what? I was one of the best! Hee! Really, not self-praising! The trainer said I showed the excellent way of teaching grammar and commented that I'm so different in class as a student and up on the "stage" as a teacher - guess I really found my forte, feel so much more gung-ho in front of a class and not forgetting, it's always so enjoyable and a joy when my students learn something and that I'm able to help them better understand something. I really think I'm called to be a teacher... I'm looking forward to resuming that but in the meantime, I'm quite comfortable doing what I'm doing and concentrating on starting a family... that's indeed the main thing on my mind these days... just looking forward to be a mummy! looking at all our cute God children makes us want to have many many of our own... please continue to keep us in your prayers yah? Thkjew! :)

Oh it's Ivan's second day at his new job! Has he announced that on his blog as yet? If not, lemme help him here! ;) Indeed, our dear Lord has been merciful and we are so grateful for his providence. Although not a very high-paying job but rather an entry level one, we are glad that he's able to start somewhere in the Aus workforce, hopefully this would be a great stepping stone of more to come. ;)
Ivan's mummy came over in October for a work trip and we managed to spend a day with her and she got to stay a nite at our place too; afterwhich she upgraded to a suite in Hyatt in the city for her work conference. :)
great to see that everything's settling over at Perth for Ivangie! cheerios!
