For a day, I switched alliance n was a Liverpool fan. Before, I used to support Man U, the team my daddy was supporting but now, I'm ivan's fellow team supporter! ;) Hee, it was real entertaining seeing the fun teasing the LFC would be up to when they spotted spectators doning their Man U jersey. It sure did cause quite a stir but it was all in the name of fun. I have to say I was a little worried at one point as I saw many Auxillary police crowding around an area- I sure didn't want to be in the midst of some riot or fight! The atmosphere was quite rowdy, with this particular man in front of us who was quite candid with his comments! He sure kept us entertained as we were there to "chope" seats since 5pm and were baking in the hot sun.
Actually, I was just wondering if such an International game should be discouraged as it sure does not promote patriotism right? I am sure many would disagree but it's just how I feel. After all, majority of the spectators were LFC fans who cheered hysterically whenever their team scored (against Singapore for that matter). I just felt a little empathetic to the Singapore players who were trashed by their visitors coupled with the fact that their fellow countrymen were supporting their rivals in the soccer match. Hmmm... :)
