DAY 3 & 4
Yesterday was sucha blur...had splitting headache after returning home. Rushed about quite a bit. It was an enjoyable encounter with a K1 boy Duncan. I was doing Maths with them and they were practicing writing numbers. Most of the children were rushing to finish their work so that they could play but there was Duncan, just beside me, completing one number after another, from writing number 1, he moved on to 2, as well as the relevant activities and did not stop until 8. He was sucha quiet worker but a very intelligent one at that. Now I know why people say that intelligent people do not talk alot but rather, they listen more. Guess, I'm not exactly the intelligent one yah? ;) There was also Lenox, another boy who writes his numbers 2, 3, 5 and 7 laterally inverted. I got him to practice after the lesson and he was happy when I praised him for writing them correctly. Was quite funny too when I drew a parallel to a swan for the number 2 he was writing; and to the McDonald's sign for his number 3. :) Looking forward to more experiences but also to the weekend...feeling quite tired.
